New Balance Numeric and Vu teamed up on a very special 440 V2 that is a love letter to Baltimore and the surrounding area. Drawing inspiration from the NB 990v3 along the upper features a tonal grey suede, waffle textured tongue and reflective N logo. The grayscale upper pays homage to the Formstone material used in many Baltimore homes along with hits of orange on the tongue and heel tab to truly make this a Baltimore shoe. The insole features graphics by Vu Skateshop's own Chris Aguirre and tie in The Wire which took place in Baltimore. To take it a step further each pair comes with a custom blacklight so you can see the hidden graphics on the laces and heel tab that when hit with a black light shoe "410" for Baltimore's area code, Vu's cursive logo along with "440" for the model number of the shoe.
